Doria Fleisher - Assistant Director, Programs & Education

Doria brings over ten years experience working in general and special education, and in the field of therapeutic riding to the Melwood Recreation Center. Her background includes working with therapeutic riding programs across the United States, and working with youth and adults with and without special needs in educational and recreational settings.

Doria has a degree in Psychology, with a focus in elementary and special education, and holds certifications as a lifeguard, therapeutic riding instructor, challenge course facilitator, and archery instructor.

Doria uses her background in education and psychology to design and implement programming for participants of all ages and ability levels. Her teaching style focuses on creating an individualized, safe, productive, and challenging learning environment.

In 2007, Doria was the recipient of an American Camp Association Chesapeake Section Service Award.

Marisa Cucuzzella - Assistant Director, Participant & Retreat Services

Marisa has over three years of camping experience at Kamp A-Kom-Plish. She earned a degree in Mass Communications from Towson University. In 2007 she began as a seasonal staff member at Kamp A-Kom-Plish and then chose to make a career change. She has been with Melwood ever since. Marisa?s favorite things about camp are watching campers succeed and being able to make a career in a field where the focus is on fun!
